Description

This sword is a replica of Kanawo Tsuyuri Nichirin Katana. Her katana has the words Destroyer of Demons engraved on the side, in red/pink color. Her tsuba is circular shaped with a white border, filled 4 red five-leafed flowers and a winding pattern that is light green in color.

Swordsmanship style

As an immensely gifted individual, Kanao is an incredible swordswoman.

Swordsmanship

  • Flower Breathing: A breathing style Kanao learnt and later mastered by simply observing Kanae Kocho.
  • Second Form: Honorable Shadow Plum: The user releases several rotating sword slashes that deflects incoming physical attacks.
  • Fourth Form: Crimson Hanagoromo: The user unleashes single sword slash that curves and twists gracefully.
  • Fifth Form: Peonies of Futility: The user unleashes a flurry of nine consecutive attacks that flow and weave in on themselves.
  • Sixth Form: Whirling Peach: A technique used after or during evasion, the user spins around moving with their body weight to deliver an attack.
  • Final Form: Equinoctial Vermilion Eye: A focusing technique that raises the user's kinetic vision to its maximum, while using this technique the user perceives the world as if it were in slow motion. Usage of the technique, however, is highly dangerous, as the tremendous strain on the eyes could cause blood vessels to rupture and lead to partial or complete blindness. This technique is still usable even if the user only has one fully functional eye.

How is your sword made?

Sword Crafting In 3 Simple Steps

All our swords are hand-crafted using traditional forging methods that have been in place for thousands of years.

Click the tabs above to see exactly how we'll make your sword - from Design, to Forging, to Finishing.

1. Design

Designed by experts.

First, your sword is designed by experts who've crafted thousands of swords. Our product team carefully plans the combination of aesthetics and features that will make up the sword:

Aesthetics: Shape, design, colours, ornaments and decorations, and fittings to determine the look and style of the final piece.

Features: Practicalities such as blade length, blade width, steel type, handle and scabbard dimensions, as well as weight and whether or not the sword will include a Bo-Hi.

2. Forging

Forged by Craftsmen... by hand.

For the inner core of the blade, impurities are removed and steel created via the smelting process. The carbon level is varied (higher or lower) to get a result of softer or harder steel. The brick-sized piece of prepared steel is then forged until soft, and hammered until elongated. It's then folded over and over until all impurities are removed and the desired shape is achieved.

For the outer part of the blade, the heat/pound/fold technique is applied up to 3,000 times to create a strong blade, which is then painted with a clay and charcoal mixture and thrust into water to finalise.

3. Finishing

Finishing touches.

The blade is then polished and a handle attached. From there, the sword is adorned with desired fittings and ornaments, engraved (if desired) and lacquer is applied to the wooden scabbard to create a beautiful, functional piece. It's then carefully packed and shipped out using our courier service, arriving at your door safe and sound.
