Description

This sword is a replica of Byakuya Kuchiki's Zanpakutō Senbonzakura (千本桜 - "Thousand Cherry Blossoms"). The sword's Tsuba is notable for its square 4-pane design.

Shikai: Released by the word "Chire" (散れ - "Scatter"), Senbonzakura's blade shatters into one thousand fragments that resemble Cherry Blossoms. These fragments can be controlled by the bearer and used for attack and defense.

Bankai: Senbonzakura Kageyoshi (千本桜景厳 - "Vibrant Display of a Thousand Cherry Blossoms") - the Zanpakutō plunges into the group and giant blades rise from the ground. Like the fragments, these can be controlled, but unlike them, they can be controlled by mind alone.

Noted Special Abilities:

  • Senkei (殲景 - "Slaughterscape") - The blossoms combine into swords that have greater attack power than the fragments alone.
  • Gōkei (吭景 - "Mawscape") - Increases the number of fragments, surrounds an opponent with a cloud made from them, then implodes the cloud.
  • Shūkei: Hakuteiken (終景: 白帝剣 - "Endscape: White Imperial Sword") - every fragment becomes a sword. This ability releases a massive amount of spiritual energy and creates a halo and flight-capable wings for the bearer.

Perfect!

I bought this for Christmas for my son who is a collector of anime items and swords. He is very pleased in the quality and design. Ordering the sword was easy and I was able to buy the sharp tip with the touch of a button instead a blunt tip. I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend to anyone.

How is your sword made?

Sword Crafting In 3 Simple Steps

All our swords are hand-crafted using traditional forging methods that have been in place for thousands of years.

Click the tabs above to see exactly how we'll make your sword - from Design, to Forging, to Finishing.

1. Design

Designed by experts.

First, your sword is designed by experts who've crafted thousands of swords. Our product team carefully plans the combination of aesthetics and features that will make up the sword:

Aesthetics: Shape, design, colours, ornaments and decorations, and fittings to determine the look and style of the final piece.

Features: Practicalities such as blade length, blade width, steel type, handle and scabbard dimensions, as well as weight and whether or not the sword will include a Bo-Hi.

2. Forging

Forged by Craftsmen... by hand.

For the inner core of the blade, impurities are removed and steel created via the smelting process. The carbon level is varied (higher or lower) to get a result of softer or harder steel. The brick-sized piece of prepared steel is then forged until soft, and hammered until elongated. It's then folded over and over until all impurities are removed and the desired shape is achieved.

For the outer part of the blade, the heat/pound/fold technique is applied up to 3,000 times to create a strong blade, which is then painted with a clay and charcoal mixture and thrust into water to finalise.

3. Finishing

Finishing touches.

The blade is then polished and a handle attached. From there, the sword is adorned with desired fittings and ornaments, engraved (if desired) and lacquer is applied to the wooden scabbard to create a beautiful, functional piece. It's then carefully packed and shipped out using our courier service, arriving at your door safe and sound.
