Description

This is a replica of Tanjiro Kamado Nichirin Katana. This sword is deep black in color, and has the words "Slay" engraved on the side. The original tsuba is a black ring connected to its core by lines with a border of the same color, which heavily resembles a wagon wheel in appearance.

Swordsmanship style

Water Breathing: This was Tanjiro's initial breathing style before he switches to the Hinokami Kagura, a breathing style taught to him by his father during his childhood, which he states is more suited to him. However, during the course where he used Water Breathing, he became extremely proficient.

Hinokami Kagura: Also known as the Dance of the Fire God. During his near-death experience in his battle with Rui, Tanjiro awakened this in a memory of his father teaching him this breathing style. At that time, Tanjiro's body was not physically suited to the strain using the breathing style took on him, but through many adversities, he finally managed to master it. When Tanjiro fully witnessed the Thirteenth Form performed by Yoriichi Tsugikuni and gained consciousness, he awakened the Hinokami Kagura into the legendary Sun Breathing.

  • Dance: The user delivers a single high-powered vertical slash.
    • Dancing Flash: A modified version of Dance developed and utilized only by Tanjiro Kamado. The user infuses the Thunderclap and Flash technique of Thunder Breathing into the high-powered slash of Dance by inhaling huge amounts of oxygen, increasing the pumping of blood through the entire body, focusing it on the legs, and releasing it all to assault the target with a slash.

Great quality paint could use an upgrade though.

The katana feels and is very real/accurate but the paint on the blade itself could use some upgrades. I unboxed it and was sad to see some red streaks and signs of a thin coat on the blade. If it weren’t for the paint issue I’d give it a 5 star. Other than that great quality would love to see better paint improvements in the future.

    Hi Joseph,

Thanks so much for leaving us a review. We're happy that you're satisfied with the overall quality of the sword. We've noted your comment about the paint and this is something we'll discuss with the product team. Feedback like this certainly helps us improve and make better products. Thanks again!

    How is your sword made?

Sword Crafting In 3 Simple Steps

All our swords are hand-crafted using traditional forging methods that have been in place for thousands of years.

Click the tabs above to see exactly how we'll make your sword - from Design, to Forging, to Finishing.

    1. Design

    Designed by experts.

First, your sword is designed by experts who've crafted thousands of swords. Our product team carefully plans the combination of aesthetics and features that will make up the sword:

Aesthetics: Shape, design, colours, ornaments and decorations, and fittings to determine the look and style of the final piece.

Features: Practicalities such as blade length, blade width, steel type, handle and scabbard dimensions, as well as weight and whether or not the sword will include a Bo-Hi.

    2. Forging

    Forged by Craftsmen... by hand.

For the inner core of the blade, impurities are removed and steel created via the smelting process. The carbon level is varied (higher or lower) to get a result of softer or harder steel. The brick-sized piece of prepared steel is then forged until soft, and hammered until elongated. It's then folded over and over until all impurities are removed and the desired shape is achieved.

For the outer part of the blade, the heat/pound/fold technique is applied up to 3,000 times to create a strong blade, which is then painted with a clay and charcoal mixture and thrust into water to finalise.

    3. Finishing

    Finishing touches.

The blade is then polished and a handle attached. From there, the sword is adorned with desired fittings and ornaments, engraved (if desired) and lacquer is applied to the wooden scabbard to create a beautiful, functional piece. It's then carefully packed and shipped out using our courier service, arriving at your door safe and sound.
